A price plan in the hospitality industry is a defined set of prices and conditions under which accommodation and related services are offered to guests. It determines how much a guest pays, what is included in the price and the terms of booking and cancellation.
Types of rate plans
In our system, you can create 2 types of rate plans:
Manual - Where you add prices directly
Automatic - It inherits prices from some Manual Rate Plan and adds variation on these prices.
Example: 10% lower than Standard Rate. Pricing rules allow you to derive one rate plan from another, such as applying a fixed discount or percentage reduction to create a derived rate plan. For example, a website price may be derived from a base price list with a specific adjustment, ensuring consistency across pricing strategies.

2. How to create an automatic Rate Plan
Automatic Rate Plans inherit prices from a Manual Rate Plan and apply variations based on predefined pricing rules. These rules can include fixed discounts or percentage reductions, allowing for dynamic and consistent pricing adjustments. For instance, a website price derived from a base rate plan may include a 10% discount or a fixed reduction, ensuring alignment with pricing strategies. If your website price is derived from another rate plan, changes to the base price list alone will not automatically update the website prices. Instead, the pricing rule applied to the website rate plan determines the final displayed price.
Move the slider to Auto, choose default rate plan and add desired variation.
How to change prices for a specific period?
More information how to change prices see here.
⚠️ Important: This is valid for Manual Rate Plans only as Automatic prices are inherited.
