Property policies settings

Set the policy for children or adults, set the cancellation policy and other policies of your property

Updated this week

For the proper functioning of the system, it is necessary to make settings, i.e. set the system to work. All settings are made through the gear icon located in the lower left corner. The settings are classified into 12 categories.

Note: Some of the settings made subsequently will only affect newly entered reservations and actions, while they will not affect previous actions and reservations entered into the system.

In the settings section "Property policies" there are the policy settings of your object, such as the policy for children or seniors, the cancellation policy and others.

Note: Most of the settings from this category will refer to the booking rules through your website (Booking engine) and will be visible there. You make settings of this type for other online sales channels directly on those sales channels.

Box "Payment required" you can check/uncheck if you want, i.e. you don't want to introduce mandatory payment (mandatory credit card entry) when booking through your website (Booking engine)

You can set the time from when guests can check in to your property, as well as when they need to check out.

At the bottom of the settings, you can add categories of children or seniors and set the age range per category.

Tip: when creating the category of children, keep in mind the rules for the collection of residence tax in your city for children.

Cancellation policies

On the "plus" icon, you can create a cancellation policy and then add it to the corresponding price plan, so that guests who book through your site know under what conditions they are making a reservation.

How to create price plans and add a cancellation policy to them, see here.

Note: Cancellation policies created here will not be visible on other sales channels, but only for reservations through the web site.

You can delete the cancellation policy on the "bucket" icon. Before deleting, first assign a new cancellation policy to all price plans in which that cancellation policy is set.

You can change the cancellation policy on the "pencil" icon. You can type another Policy name, select Type from the drop-down menu and enter text in the Note field that will be visible to guests when viewing the offered price lists, but also in the reservation confirmation that they receive by email. When entering Names and Notes, take care to write in the language that is set as the main one for your Booking Engine, and subsequently to translate them if you have set to have a multilingual display of the Booking Engine or if you send confirmations of reservations in several languages. You can find more about language changes at following link. For each Type, a system text will be indented in the Note, which you can keep or overtype. By checking the "Free cancellation" option, a new field will appear where you can enter how many days in advance guests can cancel the reservation free of charge.

Guest Book

In the "Guest Book" section, you can enter answers and data for each of the given questions or add new questions and answers about your property to the "plus" icon, and guests can see them when booking through your website (Booking engine) and through Guest Guest app applications.

More about the guest application itself and its settings, see here.

In the last part of the property's policy settings, you can add data about privacy policies and terms and conditions for using the Booking engine. For more details on how to set up the Booking engine, click here.
